Staying Dry While Looking Fly

We all know that April showers bring May flowers. We also know it often brings some less inspiring outcomes like wet hair, ruined leather and the dreaded squishy socks.  Well, it’s about time we show Mother Nature whose the boss with our men’s fashion guide and turn a dreary day into an excuse to rock a flooded fashion runway.

Take it from us and our years of experience with disheveled hair and wet feet. We did the “research” so you don’t have to.

Footwear:

Nothing can kill a blissful day of rain like ruining your favorite boots and stomping around in waterlogged shoes. Lucky for all of us, wellies and squeaky rainboots are no longer our only option.  Both Vans and Chuck Taylor make water resistant versions of your favorite men’s hightop shoes (praise be!) and Tretorn and Hunter reinvented the rainboot for the modern man with some fashion forward rubber boots.  You’ll wish for rain so you can have an excuse to wear them.

Haircare:

The obvious answer here to save your hair from a misting or downpour is none other than an umbrella.  But, when the skies open with unexpected vigor and you find yourself without one, follow our lead.  A little product can be your best friend. That’s why we always keep a little travel size dab by our side. Scoop a little into a tiny container and don’t leave home without it.

The Ultimate in Cool Accessories:

A classic black umbrella with a wood cane handle screams dapper.  Paired with your new Chuck Taylor water resistant high tops and you’ll be breaking ground with urban sophistication. Oh, and you’ll also stay dry. It’s the ultimate fashion and function accessory.

With these three items, you are sure to avoid looking like a drowned rat. No offense. Just don’t forget to check the weather.
